It has been revealed that the Archaeological Department is neglecting the Buddha Cave at Mauje Kharosa in Ausa taluka of Latur district.


Bhante Sumedhji Nagsen has posted on social media that Kharosa Caves is a place of worship for Buddhists, Muslims and Hindus. Many tourists come to visit this cave.


However, due to the conscious neglect of this cave by the Archaeological Department, there is a lack of facilities here. This is causing inconvenience to tourists.



A demand is being made on behalf of the citizens of Panchkrushi, including Pujya Bhante Sumedhaji Nagsen, that the Archaeological Department should pay immediate attention to this and develop the cave immediately.


The only largest cave in Ausa taluka of Latur district is Kharosa Caves, Buddha Caves at the beginning of Kharosa Caves.


The majestic stupa in the vicinity of Buddha Caves is being completely destroyed by the rains. The Archaeological Department is not paying attention to this.


This cave has got the status of 'B' as a tourist destination. Despite the 'B' status of a tourist destination, the infrastructure at Kharosa Caves is being deliberately neglected.


Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and religious devotees flock to the Kharosa Caves every dayThe Archaeological Department is urging the Kharosa Caves to pay immediate attention to the following demands.


The main demands are as follows: Kharosa Caves should be given 'A' status as a tourist destination, historical objects excavated in the vicinity of Kharosa Caves should be maintained, many stupas and temples in the vicinity of Kharosa Caves are being demolished.


The Archaeological Department should pay special attention to stop this fall. Many tourists visit Kharosa Caves every Sunday. In order not to inconvenience the tourists, bus service should be started from Latur to Kharosa Caves.


Drinking water should be provided for tourists visiting the Kharosa Caves area, bathrooms should be provided in the cave area, five cleaning staff should be appointed to keep the area of ​​Kharosa Caves clean.



A police post should be set up in the area of ​​Kharosa Caves to prevent any untoward incidents. Many wild animals live in the area of ​​Kharosa Caves, mainly deer, antelope, rabbit, peacock, fox, monkey and animals.


All of them have to roam for water, their roaming should be stopped and water should be provided in the cave area for livestock.
